4. Operation Summary

– When AS+ receives 0–10V and DI1 = LOW, spindle operates in speed mode
– When DI1 = HIGH (open), spindle accepts step/direction pulses (position mode)
– DI4 (reverse direction) inverts rotation direction when shorted to GND

5. Spindle Control Integration Tips

• For the spindle to operate:
– The machine controller (CNC or PLC) should activate a relay output that triggers the internal SON function
– SON is activated internally using P-098 = 1, so external SON input is not needed
– A separate controller output should be assigned to short DI4 to GND to reverse spindle direction
• DI1 (P-100 = 16) is used to toggle control modes on the fly (analog speed ↔ step/dir)
• Confirm DI1 and DI4 toggle correctly using D-di diagnostics mode
