CANFIELD Digitized Embroidery Proof

Case Study: CANFIELD Digitizing Project

This project involved creating a precision embroidery file for the CANFIELD brand, focusing on high-quality detail and versatility across different fabric types.

Project Specifications

  • Project Name: CANFIELD
  • Stitch Count: 5,477 stitches
  • Dimensions: 3.25 x 1.5 inches
  • Target Fabric: Sweatpants, Jackets, Caps
  • Placement: Leg, Chest, Front

Design Challenges and Approach

Working on the CANFIELD project required a focus on adaptability. Because the design needed to sit on everything from thick jacket material to the curved surface of a cap, our digitizers had to carefully control the density of the stitches. If the density is too high on a cap, the needle can break or the fabric can pucker. If it is too low on a fleece-lined sweatpant, the logo gets swallowed by the fabric texture.

We chose a specific underlay pattern to stabilize the design on the base fabric. This ensures that the outer layer of stitches remains flat and readable regardless of the garment’s stretch or thickness. The 3.25 x 1.5-inch size was chosen to balance readability with a clean, professional look on the chest and leg, while remaining compact enough for a standard cap front.

The Digitization Process

Our process starts by analyzing the intended fabric density. For the CANFIELD design, we mapped out the stitch path to minimize thread trims. Efficient pathing is critical because every unnecessary jump stitch reduces the durability of the final embroidery. We adjusted the pull compensation to account for how the thread pulls the fabric inward during sewing. This is a common issue with heavier apparel like jackets, and our adjustments ensure the finished product matches the digital proof exactly.

At 5,477 stitches, this design hits the sweet spot between detail and production efficiency. It is complex enough to capture the brand identity but light enough to keep embroidery machines running at full speed without breaking threads.

Why Choose 360 Digitizing Solutions?

We focus on reliability. Embroidery is expensive to redo, so we prioritize getting the file right the first time. Our team understands how thread interacts with different textures. We do not use automated tools that produce generic results; we manually map every stitch to ensure the highest clarity for your specific apparel requirements.
