What is embroidery?
Embroidery is the process of stitching fabric or yarn (sometimes other materials) by hand or machine to create designs. Embroidery may be decorative (for example on a handkerchief or a towel), utilitarian (for example on a sweatshirt or a tote bag), or a combination of these two. Embroidery is generally done with thread that is formed into stitches with a needle and thread. Embroidery has been found on textiles from the earliest archaeological findings. Natural fibres, such as flax and hemp, were the first materials used for embroidery. Other fibres, such as nettle, wool, and silk were used as well. The first piece of embroidered cloth was found at a Neolithic site in Iran and is dated to about 7000 BCE. Archaeologists have discovered examples of decorative sewing in many different cultures, including a few examples from the ancient Middle East.

What is embroidery digitizing?
In the world of embroidery and digitizing”, digitizing word refers to an embroidery machine-readable format that is created using a computer program to command the embroidery machine to follow the properties as commanded in the digitized file to embroider a design on fabric. When you digitize a design that’s meant to be stitched out as a patch or t-shirt, for example, you are taking an image, like a photo, and converting it to a series of stitches. This allows you to get the desired design onto wearable clothing like caps, shirts, t-shirts, jackets back, socks, gloves, masks and more. You can also embroider a design on towels, bedsheets and many other types of fabrics.
